Jonathan R. Brockman, P.C. Academic Essay Award

Jonathan R. Brockman, P.C., is pleased to offer a $1,000 scholarship to students passionate about law and eager to demonstrate their critical thinking and analytical skills. Eligible submissions will be reviewed by the firm, and the winning essay will be featured on our scholarship page. The scholarship is open to students who meet the eligibility requirements, and detailed submission guidelines can be found below.

Essay Topics

Students may select one of the following topics:

  • How personal injury law promotes community safety and accountability
  • The Role of Personal Injury Law in Protecting Everyday Rights
  • Why Understanding Personal Injury Law is Important for All Citizens
  • How Personal Injury Cases Influence Safety Standards and Legal Accountability
  • Justice for the Vulnerable: Why Personal Injury Law Matters in Our Communities

For your 1,000-word essay, select a topic from the approved list and develop a thoughtful, evidence-based argument. Essays may include statistics, case studies, or personal reflection and should highlight the significance of personal injury law in protecting rights and promoting accountability.

Submission Guidelines

  • Award Amount: $1,000
  • Essay Length: 1000 words (Essays that do not meet the 1,000-word requirement will not be considered.)
  • Format: PDF
  • Name your file: FirstName_LastName_JBrockman_Scholarship_2026.pdf
  • Essays not submitted in this format will not be considered.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale)
  • Must be about to enroll or currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate, graduate, or community college program in the U.S.
    • Format for transcript: FirstName_LastName_Transcript.pdf
  • High school students must provide their college/university acceptance letter.
    • Format: FirstName_LastName_AcceptanceLetter.pdf
