Jonathan R. Brockman, P.C. Social Justice & Equity Scholarship 

Jonathan R. Brockman, P.C., proudly offers a $1,000 scholarship to support students passionate about social justice and equity. This opportunity, hosted by a personal injury law firm, invites eligible students to write and submit an original essay that will appear on the firm’s scholarship page. 

Essay Topic: 

“Justice for the Vulnerable: Why Personal Injury Law Matters in Our Communities” 

In your 1000-word essay, take an informative and persuasive stance, backed by research, statistics, and/or personal reflection. We’re looking for compelling, well-structured writing that sheds light on the current state of personal injury law in the U.S. and its impact on protecting the rights of the vulnerable. 

Key Points to Explore: 

  • How personal injury law protects the rights of victims and promotes public safety.
  • Real-world examples of how litigation has improved workplace, roadway, or consumer safety.
  • The ethical responsibility of society is to support victims of negligence. 
  • Personal reflections on justice, fairness, or witnessing the effects of injury on others. 

Submission Guidelines 

  • Award Amount: $1,000 
  • Essay Length: 1000 words (Essays that do not meet the 1,000-word requirement will not be considered.) 
  • Format: PDF

Eligibility Requirements 

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) 

○ Format for transcript: FirstName_LastName_Transcript.pdf 

  • Must be about to enroll or currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate, graduate, or community college program in the U.S.
  • High school students must provide their college/university acceptance letter. 

○ Format: FirstName_LastName_AcceptanceLetter.pdf
