The mission of Leadership Forsyth is to empower and connect diverse leaders who serve as catalyst for a vibrant community. YMCA is an association of volunteers, members, and staff open to and serving all, with programs and services which build spirit, mind, and body. United Way fights for the health, education, financial stability, and basic needs of every person in their community. They believe a quality education leads to a stable job, which provides financial stability and the ability to meet basic needs and enjoy good health. These are the building blocks for a good life and a thriving community. Jon begins his three-year term as a board member for the United Way in January 2021.
The school motto is “I am West Forsyth, and we are family”. West Forsyth High School was established in 2007 and has received multiple honors including AP STEM Achievement School, AP Merit School, and AP Humanities School.
Jonathan R. Brockman, P.C. is pleased to support West Forsyth Swim & Dive State team in 2020 and as a platinum sponsor for 2021. This team is an easy one to support because the coaching staff and swimmers are impressive. This team is the reigning county champion and has several state champions, all Americans, and an Olympic trials qualifier on its roster.
This sport and program are easy ones to support. Coach John Laden and his staff have coached two of Jon’s sons. They do a great job and the program is consistently in the state playoffs. Jonathan R. The fishing team is a new sponsorship for Jonathan R. Brockman, P.C. in 2020. Jon has had a lifelong passion for fishing and likes the idea of a high school fishing team because it encourages growth in a non-traditional sport that can last a lifetime.
Who doesn’t like football in the South? Wolverine football is important to Jon because two of his three children have played for West Forsyth. Jon and his family live in the West district and have played with, and against, many of the players on the team over the years. The coaches do a great job at player development and the team is consistently in the state playoffs. Jonathan R. Liberty Middle School opened in 2002. To recognize the lives lost in the series of four coordinated attacks by al-Qaeda upon the United States on Tuesday, September 11, 2001, the community recommended Liberty as the name of the new school. Liberty is defined as the power and resources to act to fulfill one’s own potential.
Jon has been chairman of the LSC at Liberty for 3 years. It’s been his pleasure to work with school administrators to promote physical fitness by building a community running trail and to support the school in purchasing flags to remember 9/11. It’s also been his pleasure to help select their Teacher of the Year for the past several years. Go Patriots!

Originally named Forsyth County High, Forsyth Central opened in 1955 with 429 students. At that time, it was the only high school in Forsyth County. The mission of Forsyth Central High School is to lead students to become healthy and productive American citizens who will solve problems, communicate effectively, and serve selflessly.
Our Cumming office is located approximately ½ mile from Forsyth Central High School. Jon and his family previously lived in the Forsyth Central district and know many of the students, faculty and administrators.

Jon is an Executive Board Member for the Boy Scouts of America, Etowah District, Northeast Georgia Council since 2016. Jon has taught courses on law as part of the ___________ badge at several scout summer camps. I have been a member of the Eagle Club for almost a decade. His son, Cole, is an Eagle Scout.
